About this beta
Pupkada is a small closed beta for connecting Pets and their owners. This explains how the current prototype uses information. For questions, contact the person who invited you to the beta.
Accounts and profiles
We process your email, a protected password hash and sign-in tokens. If you use Apple sign-in, we store your Apple account identifier and shared email, which may be a private relay address. Your owner profile can include a display name, bio, city and province. Pet profiles include details such as name, breed, birth date, sex, size, temperament and bio, plus uploaded photos.
Location and connections
Your owner profile may include a location used to support nearby Discovery and distance filtering. Precise coordinates are kept private, and your exact location is not displayed publicly. We also store Likes and Passes, matches, messages, playdate dates and locations, and conversation read state. Share only profile information, photos and messages you are comfortable sharing with other participants.
Safety and notifications
We process blocks and reports, including their reasons and any notes you submit. If push notifications are enabled, we use your device installation identifier, platform and push token, along with notification delivery and receipt status. Operational logs help diagnose requests and failures.
Feedback
If you send feedback, bug reports or suggestions through Pupkada, we store the category, message and app/build version when available with your account so we can review beta issues. A notification email may send your message and account email to us through Resend. Feedback submissions linked to your account are deleted when you delete your account.
Crash diagnostics
When crash reporting is enabled during beta, Sentry may receive app and device information and technical error details, such as error descriptions and stack traces, to help us diagnose failures. Pupkada is configured not to attach screenshots, request bodies or default personal information to these reports.
Services that support Pupkada
The API runs on Render and stores application data in PostgreSQL. Pet photos use private Cloudflare R2 storage and temporary access links. Resend sends account verification, password recovery and feedback notification emails. Expo Push Notifications helps deliver notifications. Sentry supports beta crash diagnostics when enabled. These services process the information needed for those functions.
Deleting your account
Deletion is permanent. Your account, owner profile, all your Pets, their matches, conversations, messages and playdates, and your in-app feedback submissions will be removed. Other owners keep their accounts and unrelated activity. Sign-in and refresh access and your registered push devices are removed. Photo removal may finish later. Safety reports involving your account keep only a report ID, reason and timestamp; participant details and notes are removed. Existing logs, backups, account and feedback notification emails, and push notifications already sent to a provider are outside immediate deletion. You can request deletion from Settings using the authentication method supported by your account, such as your current password or fresh Apple verification.
